Christopher Morin

Mr. Morin was elected to the Retirement Board by the New York State Board of Regents on the recommendation of the New York State School Boards Association for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2019. He chairs the Risk committee and serves on the Executive and Investment committees.

A retired investment banker, Mr. Morin spent most of his career working at Credit Suisse in New York, London, Zurich and Hong Kong, serving most recently as the investment banking department’s head of strategy.

Mr. Morin also worked for the New York Stock Exchange in London, managing operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and for Thomson Financial, where he ran the investment banking, private equity and institutional research divisions.

A graduate of Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in economics and of Harvard Business School with an MBA, Mr. Morin served on the Scarsdale Board of Education from 2014-2020. He is currently principal of Vanitas Capital Ventures, a private investment company.
