Subscribe Now for E-newsletters

(March 4, 2010) – Members can now elect to receive NYSTRS newsletters electronically.  In addition to being the earth-friendly alternative, opting for the online version of newsletters will ensure earlier receipt of important benefit news and help reduce System costs.

Member action is required and a MyNYSTRS account is necessary to participate. The ability to request electronic newsletters is built into the registration process for new accounts.

Those with existing MyNYSTRS accounts should follow these steps to make the switch from paper to electronic newsletters:

1. Logon to the MyNYSTRS section of this Web site.
2. Select the "Manage Account" tab (top right of screen).
3. Users will be automatically directed to the e-newsletter subscription page. Simply follow the directions and click "Submit."
4. A successful subscription will generate a confirmation message.

By electing to receive the newsletter electronically, registrants will no longer receive a print edition in the U.S. mail.  However, members will always have the ability to print newsletters from this Web site. Newsletters are found on the Active Member Publications and Retiree Publications pages under the Library tab.
