Delegates are active NYSTRS members elected to represent their co-workers at the System's Annual Delegates Meeting, held each November. A delegate's primary responsibility at the meeting is to elect a teacher member to the System's Retirement Board.
Read about delegate responsibilities and entitlement in our Delegate/Employer FAQs or in our pamphlet Electing & Reporting Retirement System Delegates.
